Pirate Chain Information
Pirate Chain is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency with best-in-class anonymity features utilizing non-optional zk-SNARKs transactions. Backed by Komodo’s Delayed Proof of Work, it is considered the most anonymous and secure cryptocurrency in the world. The majority of privacy coins are filled with holes created by optional privacy. Pirate Chain uses ZK-Snarks to shield 100% of the peer to peer transactions on the blockchain making for highly anonymous and private transactions.
The developers who created zcash, which the project is based upon, believe the most effective use of the protocol is a chain that requires private sends only. Komodo’s delayed Proof of Work (dPoW) shields Pirate’s blockchain from damage against double spends as well as 51% attacks by attaching a backup of the ARRR chain to the Bitcoin blockchain. In order to 51% attack Pirate, you would have to first 51% attack Bitcoin. This makes protection against double spends and also hostile takeovers virtually impossible if not difficult entirely.
Pirate Chain has developed groundbreaking work, including an operating system (GhostShip OS, and a second iteration dubbed GalleonOS). Their main focus is a point of sale system, which will allow merchants in physical stores to accept and instantly convert the customer’s payment to ARRR, TN, Stable Coins or Bitcoin.
